On the morning of the sixth day at sea, we were jolted awake by frantic noise—and violent shaking.
All throughout the ship, crew members shouted orders at the top of their lungs.
I rushed out of my cabin and stopped a nearby sailor.
“What’s going on?”
“Nothing to worry about, sir,” he replied quickly. “Please remain in your cabin and enjoy your stay.”
…There was no way that was true.
The urgency in the air made it obvious—something was very wrong.
Watching the crew, I noticed they were all heading toward the deck.
So that’s where it’s happening.
I quietly made my way up and overheard their conversation.
“No matter what we do, the helm won’t respond! The weather’s clear, but the sea is raging—we can barely keep the ship from capsizing!”
“Sir… could it be…?”
“…Yeah. There’s a high chance a massive sea beast is nearby.”
A sea beast.
That term refers to marine creatures exceeding ten meters in length.
In this world, over sixty percent is ocean.
Compared to land, the sea holds far more life—and far larger creatures.
The crew struggled in panic to control the ship, but the violent shaking only grew worse.
The waves surged higher.
Then—
The ocean ahead began to swell.
And something enormous rose from the depths.
“AAAAHHH!!”
Screams echoed across the deck.
No one could be blamed for their terror.
Only the creature’s head had surfaced—
And it was already over ten meters in size.
It resembled a white dragon.
A crimson gem-like structure gleamed from its forehead, and two massive horns extended from its head.
Slowly, more of its body emerged.
Just a few meters revealed were enough to tell—
It was a serpent-like dragon.
Far in the distance—hundreds of meters away—another section of its body could be seen breaking the surface.

A sea beast of this scale…
I had never even heard of such a monster.
If it attacked, this luxury ship would be reduced to splinters in an instant.
Faced with the overwhelming presence of the leviathan, everyone froze.

No one ran.
