By the time the ship returned to the surface, the sea had become completely calm.
It seemed they had somehow survived.
Cheers erupted from the crew, echoing across the deck. From inside the cabins, relieved voices followed.
“For real though, Meow… how did you know about Leviara?”
Zeke asked, tilting his head.
He had a point.
From everything we’d talked about so far, there hadn’t been a single overlap between their world and ours—no shared history, no matching place names.
And yet… Leviara existed in both?
“It was written in an old book passed down in the Demon Realm,” Meow replied.
“It contained records of divine beasts created by the gods, sacred artifacts… and heroic legends.”
She paused briefly.
“I always thought it was just fiction.”
“Heroic legends?” I asked. “Like what?”
Meow looked up, thinking.
“Let’s see… I think there was one about a hero named Farfar.”
The moment she said that—
“What?! The Legend of Farfar?!”
All four of us—myself and the three Lux girls—shouted at once.
“…What? What’s wrong?” Meow blinked in confusion.
“Farfar is infamous in this world,” I explained.
“He’s known as the traitor knight from the Great War 1,200 years ago—the war between all races and the Dragon God Tribe.
In a way, he’s one of the most famous names in history.”
“…Seriously?” Meow frowned.
“In the version I read, Farfar was a hero who sealed away the evil gods.
I don’t remember the ending, though…
Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Same name, different story.”
A coincidence…?
But that didn’t sit right.
The book mentioned Leviara—who clearly exists here.
And now the same name, Farfar, appears in both worlds… with completely opposite reputations.
Just what was that book?
After that, the voyage continued peacefully.
Since we were all heading to the same destination, Pal, Pul, and Pol decided to travel with us all the way to the Lux Village.
The three “future sages” eagerly asked Zeke and Meow to teach them magic.
Zeke—who usually couldn’t be bothered to teach me anything—was suddenly all smiles, patiently explaining things to them.
Unbelievable.
He’s that easy to read…?
I couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
Can I really get stronger under someone like him?
But then—
During the battle with Leviara, even without sight, I had been able to sense the attack… to visualize it… and my body had moved on its own.
That was something the old me could never have done.
Maybe… Zeke’s training wasn’t pointless after all.
From that moment on, I started taking his training far more seriously.
Four days after the Leviara attack, the ship finally reached the continent where the Lux Village was located.
We should have arrived sooner, but the ship’s engine had been slightly damaged during the attack.
Honestly… I didn’t mind the delay.
Once we reached the Lux Village… Zeke and Meow might find a way back to their world.
And if that happened—
This journey would end.
For them, that would be a good thing.
But for me… it felt different.
After disembarking, we continued on foot.
According to Pal, it would take about four days to reach the village.
During that time, Ligan and I continued our training.
Every day, Meow still sparred with us for about thirty minutes.
…Which I appreciated.
But lately—
She’d been harsher than ever.
No… more than that.
She seemed irritated.
Almost like she was venting something on us.
“Zeeeeke! Look at this!” Pol called out happily.
“My ice magic got way stronger!”
“Hey, me too! I can now enchant my weapon with magic attributes!” Pul added proudly.
“Ooooh! You two are fast learners!”
Zeke grinned, clearly enjoying himself.
“As expected from future sages!”
He was completely smitten.
…Wait.
Could this be…?
Is this why Meow’s been in such a bad mood?
No way…
Don’t tell me she actually—
“You’ve got some nerve looking away while fighting me!!”
“—Take THIS!!”
Before I could finish the thought—
A magic-infused punch slammed straight into me.
My vision went black instantly.
And so…
Those chaotic days continued.
Four days later—
We finally arrived at the Village of Lux.
