Four days had passed since we left Twyzeran.

We were now climbing a steep mountain path, surrounded by dense forest.

For people who claimed they wanted to return to their world as quickly as possible…

these two had absolutely no sense of planning.

Their idea was basically: “We’ll just gather information when we reach a town.”

At that rate, we’d never make it back.

So now, thanks to my suggestion, we were heading toward the land of the Lux Tribe—a race known for their deep knowledge of magic.

To reach their village, we first had to cross Mount Nishino and then take a ship from the port town on the other side.

Mount Nishino rises over 3,000 meters.

If we took a safer route around it, it would take nearly six days.

But crossing straight through the mountain would only take two.

That said—

No sane person would ever choose to cross this mountain.

Why?

Because Mount Nishino is rich in resources—food, fruit, clean water…

And as a result, it’s crawling with ferocious monsters constantly fighting over territory.

Under normal circumstances, I would have suggested the safer route.

But with these two around, I thought…

there wouldn’t be any danger.

I was wrong.

The danger wasn’t the mountain.

It was them.

We had been climbing for about six hours.

Along the way, we had been attacked by countless monsters.

Giant beast-type creatures… even dragons.

Every single one of them—

defeated in a single blow.

The Iron Tiger we encountered earlier—
a massive, five-meter-long monster—

Normally, it would take around fifty knights from Twyzeran to bring one down.

But these two?

They handled it like they were playing with a kitten.

At this point, they had already defeated dozens of monsters.

Perhaps because of that—

For the past hour, nothing had attacked us.

Every now and then, I could hear rustling from the bushes…

but the sounds were moving away from us.

The monsters weren’t stalking us.

They were running.

I had never heard of monsters being afraid enough to flee.

At this point—

it was safe to say—

these two existed far beyond common sense.
