AI-Powered Site Management – Week 4: Affiliate Results Report

AI Blogging & Monetization

Hello, this is Kumo Higashi, head of AI Side Hustle Lab.

On this blog, I run an experimental site fully powered by AI, using ChatGPT and Gemini for everything from content creation to SEO optimization. This report is a real-time record of that process. Week 4 marks the next stage of our ongoing experiment: testing how far a side hustle can grow by using AI correctly.

1. This Week at a Glance

  • Number of Articles: 70 (+1)
Since AdSense is under review, I kept new posts to a minimum, adding only what was necessary.

  • Total PVs: 11 (last week 65 → −83%)
Natural search traffic dropped because updates were paused to comply with AdSense review guidelines. I’m accepting this as an unavoidable temporary effect.

  • Earnings: $0

    • AdSense: $0

    • Other: $0
This week was entirely a “wait-and-endure” week.

2. What I Did This Week

Up until last week, I was in a “mass-production phase,” focusing on rapidly increasing the number of articles to build the overall structure of the site.
However, after my AdSense application was rejected, I changed my strategy abruptly. This week became one of staying still and waiting, which was mentally stressful.

By consulting ChatGPT and Gemini, I confirmed that:

  • Adding too many posts or changing the site structure while under AdSense review can extend the review period.

So for this week, I adopted a “static operation” approach:

  • Avoid major changes

  • Keep article updates to a minimum

  • Wait for the review results

Since I normally rely on AI for high-speed operations, suddenly being unable to act made me feel unusually anxious.

3. Insights, Reflections, and Improvements

Honestly, the waiting period for AdSense approval has been mentally tougher than I expected.

Common feelings I experienced include:

  • Wanting to work but being unable to do anything

  • Fear of being rejected again

  • Frustration at not monetizing sooner

  • Palpitations at night, making it hard to sleep

  • Constantly thinking about the site, unable to relax

These were clear warning signs.
I realized that before even focusing on the AdSense review, it’s essential to create a stable mental environment.

The more I tried to make my site perfect before submission or avoid rejection, the more my mental energy drained.

Although the results of the reapplication have not come yet, at this stage, I concluded that all I can do is wait. I’m focusing on preparing myself to receive the outcome calmly, without rushing.

4. This Week’s Takeaway

Mental composure is essential.

No matter how efficiently I use AI, I cannot automate my emotions.
That’s why I’m exploring ways to continue steadily while maintaining a calm and balanced mindset.
